The public service strike is expanding to include provincial liquor and cannabis warehouses, head offices and key work sites throughout B.C.

The expansion, announced Monday morning, means there are now more than 10,000 public service workers on strike at 36 sites across the province. Of those, 28 have active picket lines while many of the others are subject to overtime bans.

The B.C. General Employees’ Union has been on strike since early September, escalating job action in phases each week.

Monday’s job action encompasses BCGEU workers at the B.C. Liquor Distribution Branch’s liquor and cannabis warehouses in Delta and Kamloops, the LDB’s head office in Burnaby, wholesale customer service centres, and cannabis distribution centre, along with other ministry work sites in Victoria and Va
