Cambridge Food Bank has launched two new food lockers at the Allan Reuter Centre and the WG Johnson Centre.

Built on the success of the first unit, launched earlier this year at the Preston Heights Community Centre, the lockers are designed to serve individuals and families who cannot attend the food bank’s in-person programs due to mobility challenges, transportation barriers, or work schedules.

“Food lockers give us another way to reach community members where they are,” Amy Slack, director of operations at Cambridge Food Bank said. “Whether it’s a parent working shifts or a senior with mobility challenges, this service ensures people don’t have to choose between going without food and missing other responsibilities.”
