Cambridge City Hall was under a self-imposed hold and secure Monday afternoon due to “ongoing disruptive behaviour by a member of the public.”

Cambridge employees, which includes staff and council members, received an internal email at 1:34 p.m., which said city hall was under a hold and secure.

Employees were asked to follow the city’s and police’s social media.

Neither social media posted about the hold and secure and police stated they weren’t advised of a hold and secure.

The hold and secure ended at 4:11 p.m., when another email was sent and stated despite lifting the hold and secure, “heightened security measures at city hall and recreation facilities will continue.”
