BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- California State Parks is now accepting reservations for the fall tour season of the Tomo-Kahni State Historic Park in Tehachapi, which is set to begin on Saturday.

The guided tours at the park are scheduled for Sept. 27, Oct. 4 and Oct. 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The four-hour tours include travel time to and from the park.

According to a press release from California State Parks, Tomo Kahni means “winter home” in Kawaiisu. Rock rings mark the location of several homes in the village that were built on junior boughs, though unfortunately no structures remain on the Kawaiisu Californian Indian village site at the park.
