The majority of Hamilton teachers will see no changes from the contract originally ratified in November, which includes salary increases and the removal of a salary cap for veteran teachers, after the contract was reopened for negotiations earlier this year.

The Hamilton teachers union wrapped up the negotiations with the school board during a meeting last week after a year of back and forth over the three-year contract.

Hamilton originally settled its contract negotiations in November with former Superintendent Tom Korst saying he didn’t want to leave union negotiations to a new incoming superintendent.

The board approved a contract with salary increases each year — 1% the first, and 2.75% the second and third years.
