CHUCKEY, Tenn. (WJHL) - Sonia Mullins and her family lost their home to Hurricane Helene nearly a year ago. Now they have been told they will have to sell the property.
Despite receiving multiple offers, Mullins said they've had trouble getting in contact with the lending office.
Mullins said she has called her family's lending company multiple times.
"We did as they asked, hired a real estate agent," Mullins said. "I called them four times last week, sat on hold each time for over 10 minutes, and then my call would get disconnected."
The Mullins have relocated; however, the problems with their old home continue to be an issue.
"We did buy another home while my husband's credit was still good. Now his credit has gone down."
