JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Washington County Republican Party brought in nearly $60,000 at its recent annual fundraising dinner, and net proceeds of $42,924.61 were double the 2024 proceeds, the group reported recently.
The Sept. 5 event at Grace Meadows featured Congressman Tim Burchett and gubernatorial candidate Monty Fritts as well as representatives for Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger (R-1st) and Sen. Marsha Blackburn.
“We are ecstatic to announce we exceeded our goal and increased funds raised 100% over last year," Chair Danielle Goodrich said in a news release.
The sold-out dinner, at which Knoxville Mayor Glenn Jacobs spoke on behalf of Blackburn, also included a Donald Trump impersonator.
Goodrich said the net proceeds marked a record for the event.
