SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The YMCA of Greater Springfield hosted its annual charity golf tournament at Twin Hills Country Club, aiming to raise $75,000 for youth programs.

More than 130 golfers participated in the scramble-style event, which was supported by numerous local businesses.

"I think it is so important at this time because the Y is a place where everyone can come together and put aside all of the differences and just come together for the betterment of everyone in the community," said Dexter Johnson, President and CEO of the YMCA of Greater Springfield.

The funds raised will provide financial assistance for after-school programs, summer camps, and swim lessons throughout the year.
