CAIRO, Sep 22: At least 11 children were killed in a drone strike on a mosque in el-Fasher, North Darfur, during Friday prayers, with over 70 total deaths reported.

UNICEF called the attack “shocking,” and the RSF was blamed by local groups and the Sudanese army.

The strike is part of escalating violence in Sudan’s civil war, which has killed 40,000 and displaced 12 million.

The UN and Egypt condemned the targeting of civilians, including hospitals, mosques, and schools, as violations of international law. (AP)
