CLOVIS, N.M. (KAMR/KCIT) — The Clovis Police Department reported that it is searching for a suspected vehicle in a reported collision involving a pedestrian that happened on Sept. 19.
According to police, on Friday around 9:10 p.m. CPD received a 911 call regarding a crash involving a pedestrian at Torreon Street and Gidding Street.
Officers said they found one man lying in the road with severe injuries. The man was stabilized and taken to an area hospital.
Police said a witness had reported that the man was walking in the roadway when a white Dodge Charger going south on Gidding St hit the person and left the scene.
Police said the Charger was described as white with black stripes. No further information was given about the suspected car.
