AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — A former Texas Department of Criminal Justice employee was arrested for alleged sexual assault.

Erik Gomez, former TDCJ employee, was charged with two counts of "Sexual Assault." TDCJ confirmed that he was an employee from July 2017 to July 2022.

A complaint filed in Randall County District Court alleges that the assault happened in August.
