According to data from the last 15 seasons compiled by KHOU 11 News, only two teams have posted a lower scoring average through a full year: the 2011 St. Louis Rams (12.1) and the 2010 Carolina Panthers (12.3). The Texans’ current mark ties them for third-worst over that span, alongside some of the least successful teams in recent memory.

Here’s a look at the six lowest-scoring teams from the last 15 years, based on full-season averages:

2011 Rams – 12.1 ppg (2-14)

2010 Panthers – 12.3 ppg (2-14)

2025 Texans – 12.7 ppg (0-3)*

2012 Chiefs – 13.2 ppg (2-14)

2011 Chiefs – 13.3 ppg (7-9)
