A drink driver has been jailed and banned from getting behind the wheel for five years. Cambridgeshire Police were out on patrol in Huntingdon on Sunday, September 14.
While on patrol, officers spotted a black Audi A5 in Sallowbush Road with no lights on in the rain. Officers pulled over the driver, who was 36-year-old Nerijus Melesius, to offer advice. However, officers then spotted empty beer cans in the back of the car.
Melesius provided a roadside breath sample of 109, which is three times the legal limit of 35 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath. He went on to provide an evidential sample of 75 in custody.
