SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - After the first official day of fall yesterday, summer makes a quick comeback today. High pressure builds in, bringing drier air and fewer clouds. Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s to lower 90s, with just a stray shower possible along the coast.
Even hotter weather arrives tomorrow, with highs reaching the low to mid 90s. The heat sticks around through Thursday, and as a cold front approaches, it will help spark scattered storms. Some could be strong to severe Thursday afternoon and evening due to the added energy from the heat.
The cold front moves through on Friday but is expected to stall just offshore, keeping a chance for isolated storms in the forecast into the weekend.
