The Customs Preventive wing has conducted raids at the residences of Malayalam actors Dulquer Salmaan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in Kochi as part of a major operation targeting illegal vehicle imports from Bhutan. This operation, named "Numkhor," which means 'vehicle' in Bhutanese, aims to address the smuggling of over 100 premium vehicles into Kerala.

The raids took place on September 23, 2025, and are part of a broader crackdown across approximately 30 locations in Kerala, including Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Kuttippuram, and Thrissur. Customs officials are investigating allegations of illegal imports of second-hand vehicles, which are prohibited under Indian law.

Sources indicate that the operation is based on information regarding 10 to 15 violations, including forgery on the Parivahan website and the Customs website. The vehicles in question are suspected to have been imported as used vehicles, despite being new and not manufactured in India.

Customs officials have stated that any vehicles found to be illegally imported will be seized, and owners who cannot provide the necessary documentation will face legal consequences. As of now, Dulquer and Prithviraj have not made any public statements regarding the raids.
