Parts of Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas received over 4 inches of rainfall since Sunday. The rain is great to have, but we may soon find ourselves with too much of a good thing. Areas that saw the heavy rain earlier will see more heavy rain today, which will lead to flooding.

Rain this morning is working across Kansas and is on its way to Missouri. Rain should begin around sunrise in Western Missouri and expand eastward through the morning. Drivers this morning will need to plan for heavy downpours, creating hazardous driving conditions. The risk for severe weather this morning is low, but chances climb this afternoon.
