Coach Rich Rodriguez probably felt sick to his stomach after West Virginia's 41-10 loss in its Big 12 Conference opener in Lawrence, Kansas, against the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday.

Rodriguez lost by more than 30 points four times during his first head-coaching stint at WVU from 2001-07, with two of those coming in his first year.

The Jayhawks outgained the Mountaineers in nearly every statistical category on Saturday, including total yards, 388-324, with 242 of those yards coming on the ground. Kansas' top rusher Leshon Williams carried the ball 19 times for 129 yards and one touchdown.

WVU also lost a few key starters due to injury, including center Landen Livingston.
