Charleston native Dennis Harrah could be enshrined in Canton in 2026.

Harrah, a graduate of Stonewall Jackson who played with the Los Angeles Rams from 1975 to 1987, was among the 162 players nominated for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame earlier this month.

At age 72, Harrah still must make the cut, apparently, as the Seniors Screening Committee will trim the list of nominees to 50. From there the Blue-Ribbon Committee will make additional cuts before releasing their final three names for possible election with the 2026 class.

At Stonewall Jackson, Harrah was an All-State center in 1970. After graduation Harrah joined the Miami Hurricanes where he was an All-American and later inducted into the university’s hall of fame.
