The conference grind begins for the North Dakota State football team this weekend as the Bison open Missouri Valley Football Conference play against South Dakota.

The Coyotes come to Fargo with a mark of 2-2, winning two straight games against Northern Colorado and Drake. USD opened the season with losses to Iowa State and Lamar.

Senior quarterback Aidan Bouman will make his fourth career start against the Bison, looking to join South Dakota State's Mark Gronowski as quarterbacks with three wins against NDSU in the Division I era.

USD offered one of the wildest rallies in recent memory last November, coming back from a 28-17 deficit with four minutes left in the fourth quarter to beat NDSU, 29-28. Bouman threw two touchdown passes, including the game-winner to a wide-open Javion Phelps
