Officially there are two parties fielding candidates in next month’s municipal election — Tim Cartmell’s Better Edmonton and PACE (the Principled Accountable Coalition for Edmonton).
In effect, though, there are three. Working Families Edmonton is officially registered as a third-party advertiser but in reality it resembles a party as much as the others.
Working Families has better organization and what appears to be a better get-out-the-vote mechanism and the most complete platform of the three. (Free transit, less jailtime for criminals, more money for public services.)
