Temperatures drop as fall kicks off in western Colorado

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — There are very low chances for precipitation in the Grand Valley today, but dropping temperatures today may see that rain turn to snow in the higher elevations. If rain does occur, it should be in the early afternoon. Other than that, expect most sunny skies with highs only near 70 degrees. Tonight, expect mostly clear conditions to continue with overnight lows in Grand Junction reaching the upper forties! This is the first time this season that Junction has seen confirmed sub-50 degree temperatures through the airport temperature stake.
