Along the banks of the river in lush Bogue Falaya Park, the sixth annual Bluesberry Festival will celebrate the arts with live music from noon to 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 4.

Gates will open at 11:30 a.m. for this rain-or-shine event in downtown Covington, with parking available at the St. Tammany Justice Center and a trolley running throughout the day for festivalgoers.

Headlining this day of blues music and the arts will be Texas blues-rock singer/songwriter and guitarist Casey James, performing at 5:30 p.m. This former "American Idol" finalist-turned-touring performer combines elements of country, blues and rock, and he performed at the first Bluesberry Festival.
