FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- One person was killed Monday evening in a three-vehicle crash near Lake City, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

It happened at about 7:45 p.m. on W. Main Street near Katelyn Drive when a 2013 Toyota sedan went left of center while traveling west and crashed head-on into a 1997 Ford pickup, SCHP Master Trooper Brandon Bolt said. The driver of the Toyota died in the crash.

The pickup driver and the driver of a 2014 Volkswagen sedan, which crashed into the rear of the pickup after the initial collision, were injured and taken to the hospital. No information about their injuries was immediately available.

The highway patrol is investigating. Count on News 13 for updates.
