TIMMONSVILLE, S.C. (WBTW) -- A second person is facing murder and armed robbery charges for his role in an August shooting at a Florence County convenience store, authorities said on Tuesday.
Marcino Brown was booked into the Florence County Detention Center in connection with the Aug. 28 killing of Calvin Danielle Sowels, 37, who died in a Hot Spot parking lot after being shot nearby.
Ja’Tayvion De’Shon Maurice Dickey, 21, of Timmonsville, was previously charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Jail records also list other charges, including two counts of forgery and an obtaining signature under false pretenses charge, from 2023 and 2024.
