The Autism Alliance of Canada is weighing in on controversial statements made by U.S. President Donald Trump alleging a link between the use of acetaminophen – specifically referenced as Tylenol by Trump – during pregnancy and autism.
The Autism Alliance says while some studies have suggested a possible association between acetaminophen use in pregnancy and autism, observational studies show correlation, but not causation.
It says when looking at the highest quality research, “scientists have not concluded that Tylenol in pregnancy causes autism.”
