NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Nashville student faces a serious charge after he reportedly made a threat against The Academy at Old Cockrill.

The Metro Nashville Police Department responded to the school located on 49th Avenue North on Monday.

According to the affidavit, school staff said Jaidon Buford, 17, became upset after learning that a class he needed to take was in-person instead of online. The staff said Buford did not like this answer and reportedly began walking around the school, stating how he would “put his hands” on the principal and should “smack” a teacher, the affidavit states.

Buford also reportedly said that he had “big guns,” and that he and his friends would come back and “shoot up the school.”
