ROCK HILL, S.C. — A suspect is in custody after a search involving K-9 and SWAT in York County on Monday, according to the York County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to Knotty Branch Trail near Walker Road and Old Friendship Road in Rock Hill on Monday, in search of a man wanted for third degree assault and battery. He was considered "possibly armed."
Around 7:30 p.m., YCSO confirmed K-9 and SWAT were in the area while deputies established a perimeter. Shortly after, officials issued a reverse 911 asking people to stay inside their homes until given the all clear.
Then around 8 p.m., YCSO confirmed the suspect was in custody.
YCSO has not provided further information on the arrest.
