The Killeen Police Department is actively investigating a fatal shooting in the early morning hours of Tuesday morning in south Killeen.

Police were called to a residence in the 200 block of Laura Drive about 1:42 a.m. to find the victim, Jaquarious Fenn, 23, inside his home. He was suffering from a gunshot wound. Fenn was pronounced deceased at 4:40 a.m. by Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson who ordered an autopsy to be performed at Southwest Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas, according to a Killeen Police Department release.

According to the release, the preliminary investigation revealed the victim was inside the home with the suspect when he was shot. The suspect fled the scene after the shooting, according to the release. This is an ongoing investigation, police said. Polic
