COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Midlands Tech went into “secure” status Tuesday morning, Midlands Tech officials said.

“Secure” status is the second level of the 5 different levels of security status.

Officials said the secure status lasted from 8:58 a.m. to 9:24 a.m. and was caused by a reported robbery.

The Columbia Police Department has issued an all clear and said the reported robbery was a false alarm.
