(KRON) -- Two arrests have been made after a violent home invasion robbery that occurred earlier this month in Sonoma, authorities announced Monday.

In the early morning hours of Friday, Sept. 12, armed masked suspects forced their way into a residence in the 3000 block of Wood Valley Road, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office. The suspects restrained three victims in the house, including two elderly residents.

“The suspects threatened the victims, demanding valuables, and during the incident, one suspect struck a victim over the head with a blunt object, resulting in injury,” the sheriff’s office said.

The suspects stole items from the residence and fled the area.
