DICKSON, Tenn. (WSMV) - Dickson County Fire & Rescue is reporting that at least one of Monday night’s house fires was due to a lightning strike.

Dickson County Fire responded to a residence in the 1500 block of Duke Loop Road around 6:30 p.m. and arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the house.

Lightning had reportedly struck the roof of the house, so firefighters entered the house and located the fire in the attic.
