SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Shreveport Regional Arts Council has advanced to the next stage of the selection process for the Levitt Foundation’s Music Grant!

Thanks to the community’s voting efforts, Shreveport ranked 11th out of 100 cities vying for the grant.

SRAC says the next stage of the selection process will include a deeper dive into the grant application and the proposed music series.

The $120,000 multi-year grant would fund a free outdoor music series that would be held at Caddo Common Park .

Seven to 10 free concerts would be held for the public, featuring a mix of locally and nationally known musicians.

The final decision is expected to be announced on Nov. 18.
