A beach vacation was interrupted in an unusual way for a young kid in Cancun, when a crab crawled right into his ear.

"We were swimming in open waters in Cancun, when a crab crawled into my son's ear," Kitzia Mitre told Storyful. "I saw it go in when he said he had something in his ear. I ran to the doctor's office in the hotel."

Footage from Mitre shows her son, Pedro, having the crab removed.

"Are you going to kill it?," the little boy asks the doctor as she get ready to remove it.

His mom tells him "yes" the crab will likely die, but his wellbeing is what's important.

"What if I go blind?," his mom giggles and assures him that he will be okay.

Mitre encourages her son to look her in the eyes, to not move and to squeeze her hand tightly.
