RIO BLANCO COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) - A sudden downpour of rain and hail on the slopes burnt by the Lee Fire from earlier this year resulted in flood and mud and debris plummeting onto two well-traveled roads, causing closures

Rio Blanco County reported the flood shut down State Highway 13 and County Road 5 on Monday. Both lanes on the highway were deemed impassable due to deep mud and debris, according to the Rio Blanco Sheriff's Office. Meanwhile, County Road 5 received heavy rain and brought debris, making it difficult for the road and bridge crews to keep clear.
