(FOX40.COM) — At least one person is dead after getting hit by a train before 8:40 a.m. in Turlock on Tuesday morning, according to the Turlock Police Department.

Police said that multiple railroad crossings are closed from Golden Gate Boulevard to southbound Fulkerth Road.

Officers are on scene investigating the incident.

TPD advises drivers to use alternate routes when traveling.
