Veterans Park was alive with vibrant sights and sounds on Saturday as the Porterville Kiwanis Club sponsored the 1st Mariachi Fest . The event brought together mariachi school bands and folklórico dance groups from across the Central Valley, including local performers and groups from Bakersfield and Fresno , for a day filled with music, culture, and community celebration.

Proud parents and families braved the warm weather to cheer on their students as they performed on stage, showcasing their talents and hard work. The park was also filled with food vendors, local artisans, and several non-profit organizations, providing attendees with the chance to enjoy delicious food, shop for unique handmade items, and learn about valuable community resources.
