The Visalia Players are now presenting The Phantom Tollbooth at The Ice House Theater. There are two more weekends for the production, this Friday, Saturday and Sunday and October 3, 4 and 5.
The plan is directed by Porterville College professor Robert Simpkins.
The Phantom Tollbooth is the story of a bored boy named Milo, who upon discovering a mysterious package in his bedroom one day, travels into ‘The Lands Beyond’ on a journey like no other, meeting colorful characters like Tock the Watchdog, a dog with a clock who becomes his trusted companion, Humbug, a pompous, well-dressed bug, King Azaz the Unabridged, Ruler of Dictionopolis, the Mathemagician, Ruler of Digitiopolis and strange creatures like the Everpresent Wordsnatcher, who takes the words out of your mouth and the Terrible T
