The Minnesota Lynx can put intense pressure on the Phoenix Mercury by winning Game 2 Tuesday night in Minneapolis.

In the history of the WNBA, no team has rallied to win a best-of-five playoff series after losing the first two games. The WNBA went to a best-of-five conference finals in 2016, while the WNBA Finals have been best-of-five since 2005.

Minnesota dumped Phoenix in Game 1 on Sunday, and a win at home in Game 2 would put the Mercury in what has been, so far, an impossible hole to climb out of in league history.

Since 2005, only one team has forced a fifth game after falling behind 0-2 — and it just so happened to be the Mercury, who eventually lost Game 5 to the Seattle Storm in the 2018 conference semifinals.
