TWO Scots behind Shanghai’s first Highland Games have hailed the event a huge success, despite the rain.
Cameron Wilson and Sarah Armstrong came up with the idea to bring the best Scottish traditions to their new home after emigrating to China more than a decade ago.
Cameron, from Dunfermline, and Sarah, from Castle Douglas, in Kirkcudbrightshire, wanted to promote Scotland’s heritage while also bringing the local community together.

The Highland Games took place earlier this month.
The event included traditional games such as the caber toss and a bagpipe competition as well as a parade featuring China’s first Youth Pipe Band.
Scottish delicacies like neeps and tatties were also on offer.
