AITKIN — A 27-year-old Jacobson man was arrested Sunday, Sept. 21, after he allegedly shot his father in Aitkin County.

Benjamin Louis Blesi was charged Sept. 22 in Aitkin County District Court with felony first-degree assault with great bodily harm, second-degree assault with substantial bodily harm and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.

As of Tuesday morning, Blesi was in custody at the Aitkin County Jail and is being held on $750,000 bail/bond with no conditions and a $500,000 bail/bond with conditions. He is due back in court on Oct. 6.
