The 18th annual National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims is Sept. 25, a day to remember close friends and family members who fell victim to murder and recognize the physical, mental and emotional impacts on surviving loved ones.
The Yuma County Victims’ Rights Committee will hold its 12th annual ceremony on Thursday at the Yuma Art Center, beginning at 5:30 p.m., and invites the public to attend, offer support and raise awareness for victims and those close to them.
Several family members and friends of murder victims are scheduled to participate in the vigil, with Victims’ Rights Committee Chairman and Yuma City Councilmember Mark Martinez serving as the master of ceremonies.
Attendees are encouraged to bring photos of loved ones who were killed to be posted on the Wall of Rememb
