ROY — Police are looking for the driver of a black SUV who they say hit a woman in the front yard of a home, and then drove away on Tuesday morning.
About 9:45 a.m., Roy police and emergency crews responded to a report of a hit-and-run in the area of 2950 West and 4800 South. There, they found a 51-year-old woman with injuries in a yard outside of a home, said Roy Police Sgt. Josh Taylor.
Taylor said the driver of a black SUV went over a curb and hit the woman before leaving the scene. The woman, whose name was not released, was transported to a hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. It wasn't immediately clear if the woman resided in the home that police responded to.
