LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport executive director has resigned.

Steven Baker's resignation comes after he was placed on paid administrative leave by the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission after an executive session earlier this month.

A spokesperson for the airport had confirmed that the commission made the decision during a special meeting. Airport officials said the executive session was held to follow up on a six-month review of Baker.

The airport’s director of finance and chief financial officer, David Tipton, will serve as interim executive director.
