DELTA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) — On Friday, three officials with the Delta County Sheriff's Office, Sheriff Taylor, Undersheriff Archibeque and Deputy Horn, honored three citizens for assisting Deputy Horn while trying to arrest a combative suspect during a traffic stop on August 25.

During the August incident, Horn had conducted a traffic stop and investigated a driver for driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol around F Road and 1740 Road near Delta. After arresting the driver, the two passengers began to leave the stopped vehicle. Horn had advised the two individuals to stay put as the investigation was not yet concluded.

One person had complied and stayed in the vehicle; however, the other continued to walk away from the scene. Horn contacted the departing passenger before the male
