The Crown Point Community School Corp. is proposing a budget totaling just over $137 million for 2026, $2 million less than the certified budget for this year.

According to the budget notice on the district's website, $69.4 million is expected to be allocated to the education fund, over $2 million more than this year, which pays for teacher salaries, educational programming and curricular materials; $23.7 million is projected for the operations fund, which is used to cover maintenance and transportation expenses, as well as salaries of non-teaching employees.
