COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A Comstock Township deputy fire chief who admitted to hitting an 11-year-old girl with his truck while driving drunk has entered a plea agreement, Kalamazoo County court documents show.

Michael David Dyer, 63, pleaded no contest on Monday to one count of operating while intoxicated and was given probation along with having to provide restitution, according to court documents. He is not set to serve any prison time.

Previous police reports show that the girl was hit around midnight June 22. Deputies were sent to the area of EH Avenue and Berry Street after reports that a child had been hit by a car.
