CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — More than a year and a half after a Lost Creek woman was killed, the prosecution still doesn't have the final autopsy report back from the West Virginia Office of Chief Medical Examiner.

That's likely to result in a postponement of the trial date for suspect George Alexander Hoffman, 23, the son of homicide victim Selestine Hoffman Kunkel, 53.

Harrison Chief Judge Christopher J. McCarthy is keeping the trial on his calendar for Nov. 3 at this time, and Prosecutor Rachel Romano said she would continue to push for results on the autopsy.

Also on Tuesday, McCarthy appointed veteran area attorney Christopher M. Wilson, who has handled several high-profile violent crime defendants, as co-counsel with Ramsey Jorgensen.
