FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The 48th Annual Fresno Scottish Games have offered attendees a space to enjoy culture, song, dance, and more; though some say the games go deeper than that.
The Scottish Games took place last Saturday at Kearney Park in Fresno County.
One of the organizers, Brad Millar, says he still remembers the first time he visited the Scottish games in Fresno.
"My daughter was in junior high at that time and heard about the games, then let me know about it and we went. I was hooked immediately," Millar said.
Millar says he's closely connected to his Scottish heritage and that the games helped him feel grounded in his culture.
"I lived in Scotland as a kid, for a little while. That's where I first heard bagpipes," Millar said. "I fell in love with the culture. M
