OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. —

A man in Oconee County, South Carolina, has been charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor.

According to the Oconee County Sheriff's Office, the investigation began in October 2022 after a deputy was informed that a teenager had been sexually assaulted.

Deputies said 20-year-old Wilson Nahun Figuero-Argueta of West Union had sexual relations with the victim in 2022 and was subsequently charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.

At the time of the incident, Figuero-Argueta was 17 years old.

Figuero-Argueta was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center on Monday morning. He received a $50,000 bond and will be required to wear an electronic monitoring device should he be released from jail.
