LEE COUNTY, S.C. — A pedestrian was killed early Tuesday morning in a crash involving a tractor trailer and another vehicle in Lee County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Master Trooper William Bennett said the collision happened around 4:55 a.m. on September 23, 2025, along U.S. 15, about one mile north of Bishopville.

Troopers said a 2026 Mack tractor trailer was traveling north when it struck a pedestrian who had been walking south in the northbound lane. Afterward, the pedestrian was struck again by a second vehicle of unknown make and model, according to Bennett.

The pedestrian died at the scene.

The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
